♦ Services ♦
- I have extensive experience researching the United States, Canada, Newfoundland, Poland, Russia, and Ukraine.
- I conduct much of my research at the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, the largest genealogical library in the world, where I can search any of the records available, including US Federal and State Censuses, vital records (birth, marriage, death), immigration and naturalization records, published histories, and more.
- For hourly research, I will supply you with a detailed list of all records searched and the results of each search.
- I can assist you in compiling data for your own family newsletter, offer writing and editing services, create the newsletter layout, and print full color, double-sided copies for you to distribute to your family.
Assisted Research
Do you want to do the research yourself? Are you planning a trip to Salt Lake City? I can meet you at the library and help you with your research.
Newsletter Publishing
Have you been wanting to publish a family newsletter but need some help? I can't write everything for your newsletter, but I can give you suggestions and help with writing and editing. I will then create a PDF of the newsletter for you to share with relatives. I can also provide full color printing services.
United States Research
Birth, Marriage, Death Certificates, and other documents I will search through available indexes at the Family History Library and provide copies of the documents if they are available.
New York Births All five New York boroughs are indexed from 1881-1965. Additionally, Manhattan and Brooklyn are indexed beginning in 1866. Certificates are available up to 1909.
New York Marriages All five New York boroughs are indexed and certificates are available from 1888-1937.
New York Deaths All five New York boroughs are indexed from 1888-1965. Additionally, Brooklyn is indexed beginning in 1848. Certificates are available up to 1949.
Federal Census I can look up US census records for you by searching either the transcribed indexes, microfilms of index cards, or by your ancestors' addresses.
Other Research The FHL has a lot of other types of records available including passenger ship lists, naturalization documents, military documents, and much more. I can search through any of these records to try to locate your ancestors.
Birth, Marriage, Death Records I will retrieve copies of records that are indexed by JRI-Poland. If records are not yet indexed, or are not of Jewish origin, I can search the microfilms for the documents you desire. I will provide translations of these Polish and Russian records, as well as records ordered from Poland through the JRI-Poland web site, which do not come with translations.
Research for Other Countries
There are many records available at the Family History Library. I will provide you with photocopies of single records or conduct in-depth research. I have assisted other library patrons with research in German and Italian and can decipher any language that uses the Latin, Cyrillic, or Hebrew alphabets.
